Hello marine wildlife lovers. Our goal at San Francisco Whale Tours is to show you the Gulf of the Farallons and the wonderful wildlife that lives in the worlds most vital marine eco-system. The trip takes place aboard the vessel Kitty Kat the best eco vessel touring the Gulf of the Farallones. Our goal is to have you experience a unique, marine mammal filled habitat while being a "passive spectator".  We abide by the "Be Whale Wise" guidelines, as well as the National Marine Sanctuary laws set in place to protect the marine species. From whale sightings to bird viewing, this is an experience of a life time.

The trip takes place in the marine environment which can be cold and harsh at times. The Captain and Crew work very hard at ensuring you view species in their natural environment. We also ask our customers to prepare for their trips accordingly and dress as if their going on trip in a marine environment. We ask you prepare  before the trip if you suffer from seasickness. The Gulf of Farallones is a marine environment located almost 30 miles offshore in the Pacific Ocean where the weather changes daily. The trip can take you far offshore on the ocean in pursuit of whales. We feel that we are running more than a boat ride to view whales but a life changing learning experience which develops stewards of the ocean.

We will try to make sure you have a great experience aboard the Kitty Kat with us, but we cannot control where the whales or dolphins may be during your trip. If you do not see any whales or dolphins during your trip we kindly invite you to come back again for another trip on us. This is our company policy and is only available if the tickets were purchase directly though San Francisco Whale Tours. We insisted on bringing you the best Whale Watching experience!   

Please note that all trips must have at least 10 passengers in order to go out.  If there are less than 10 people, you will be notified through email and phone ahead of time.  We will reschedule you, or give you a full refund. 
 
A Note from our Captain 
 
Each time the Kitty Kat departs on a whale watch, we are on a mission to make this a life time adventure for everyone on board. I ask please take the time to dress appropriately and if you are concerned about sea sickness, or any other medical concerns, please consult your doctor. My crew and I love what we do and feel that generally 99% of our customers are sincerely looking to experience what the Gulf of Farallones has to offer. I make this statement because I would rather discourage a person from joining us if their not prepared for a day outing on the ocean. Please come ready to experience the sights , sounds and smells of the marine environment. This is not sitting in your living room watching wildlife on TV. It is an intense marine journey to educate and be one with nature!

No Whale Sighting the next trip is on Us!

This is good for any of our whale watch trips. Whale Watching is an opportunity to search for marine  mammals in their environment . In event no Whales or Dolphins are sighted, we will issue to all paying passengers a (whale pass )IT HAS NO EXPIRATION DATE. It is not redeemable for cash. It must be used by the buyer of the orignal ticket. It can not sold or reissued to other parties.This offer is not valid on private charters.This policy is San Francisco Whale Tours good faith to show,that we really care about your experience with us.
